Class Description
Refrigerant System Diagnostics Training teaches technicians how to diagnose refrigerant system problems correctly, on their first call, by using a systematic approach to troubleshooting. We discuss several refrigerant system problems that technicians miss diagnosing due to lack of training or knowledge.

Greg Westerman
New West Training
Gregory Westerman has been in the HVAC industry since 1965. He has experience in duct installation and fabrication service technician, sales, and company manager for 15 years for a major company in Ponca City, OK. In 1994 he went to work for the O’Connor company in Tulsa as their Technical Support Specialist and technical trainer for Trane, ClimateMaster, Mitsubishi ductless, and City Multi.
Gregory has a Universal EPA license since 1993, an HVAC unlimited contractor’s license, and NATE certification in air conditioning, heat pump, gas furnace, and airflow. Gregory was also an Oklahoma judge for Skills USA for 17 years.
Gregory also has New West Training company and has taught the advanced diagnostic training course ‘Refrigerant System Diagnostics’ since 1998. Gregory retired from the O’Connor Company at the end of 2019 and is still offering training to technicians in the HVAC field.
